The parade line up will be located on Olohan Alley between Bridge St. and Mason St. All automobiles and floats must enter staging area via Bridge St.  For safety to the many children who will be in the staging area, vehicles must arrive and be parked no later than 4:00 pm.  All other participants must be in place by 4:30 pm.  Parade participants can be dropped off at either entrance to the staging area.  Note:  Please be sure all participants in your group know their entry number….your group should assemble at their number which is marked on the street. Participants will receive an email by Nov. 20th with their staging number.

Parade will start at Short St. and Branch St. and travel west on Branch St. to the intersection of Wesley and Traffic Way. (0.4 miles)

The end of the parade and unloading area will be in the Bank of America parking lot.  Parents and participants may use all public parking lots as well as all street parking.  PLEASE NOTE OLOHAN ALLEY WILL BE A NO PARKING ZONE.

Parade Guidelines

Have a great time at the parade!  And please ask your group to follow these simple rules:

  • Leave headlights off along the parade route….they can be pretty blinding.  Use your running lights.
  • No Live Santa Claus…..Santa is already in the parade as the last entry and we don’t want to confuse the small children
  • No Throwing Candy…..smaller kids tend to dart out on to the street to retrieve errant pieces of candy and the drivers can’t see them….have your group walk along the curbside and hand out candy or any other gift you may have
  • No boarding or off-loading of participants on floats on the parade route, or while the floats are moving in staging areas.  This may seem obvious, but please remind your group about this important safety consideration.  Participants have been injured in the past because of this very thing.
  • Drivers of floats especially the tractor/trailers must unload float riders after pulling to a full stop in the Bank of America lot.
